Enforcement officers of the Halal Food Control Division at the Syariah Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) recently confiscated 283.68 kilogrammes (kg) of chicken tails and wings during a joint operation at a retail store in the Tutong District.

The case has been handed over to the RCED. The MoRA said businesses wishing to bring in raw halal meat must first obtain a halal import permit from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council in addition to documents required by related agencies for the importation of meat.
