Some 2,500 participants joined Institute of Brunei Technical Education’s (IBTE) charity walkathon yesterday at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

The participants comprised IBTE staff and students from all seven campuses.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab officiated the event.

IBTE Chief Executive Officer Dr Haji Mohd Zambri bin Haji Sabli was also present.

The IBTE Donation Drive was held in March and April. Of the collection 70 per cent will be used to support the learning experience of IBTE students, as well as improve student welfare.

Meanwhile, 30 per cent will be donated to two non governmental organisations – Learning Ladder Society and An-Nur Harapan.
