Mashhor Group of Companies (MGCSB) conducted an emergency mass evacuation fire drill, codenamed ‘Operasi Tegas’, yesterday at its premises on Jalan Pangsa, Seria in the Belait District.
The drill saw a mass evacuation of more than 200 personnel from their offices, workshops and yards as well as two simulated first aid injuries and one simulated rescue in the warehouse.
The operation was led by MGCSB Corporate Group HSSE and Asset Manager Mohd Rizal bin Dr Haji Abdul Latif, accompanied by chief fire marshal Azrol Mashhor, as well as the assistance and support from the Seria Fire Station, Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) paramedics, and Seria Traffic Control and Investigation Department.
The drill aimed to ensure that all Mashhor-trained fire marshals and their first aiders are prepared for real-life scenarios. – Daniel Lim
