Over 20 vendors comprising local farmers, artisans and producers showcased fresh produce, handmade goods and other products at the Temburong Farmer’s Market launched at the Supertree and Bumiputera Complex yesterday.
Organised by Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), Temburong District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, guest of honour, and DARe Acting Chief Executive Officer Daniel Leong launched the farmer’s market.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir and officials from DARe and Temburong District Office were also present.
The two-day event also featured games for visitors.
The concept echoes the essence of community spirit and cultural diversity in the Temburong District. The pilot event aimed at bolstering entrepreneurial activities in the district, initiated by DARe in collaboration with the Temburong District Office.
The public can visit the market from 8am to 6pm today. – James Kon
