Over 20 bags of rubbish were collected at a beach cleaning campaign organised by the Lions Club of Belait and the Belait District Scouts Association (PPDB) yesterday, in conjunction with World Environment Day.
Lions Club of Belait President Johnny Cheong, accompanied by organising chairperson Alan Chee, led 11 members and their family members.
The 20 PPDB scout members were led by Belait District Scout Commissioner Mohamed Hatta bin Haji Suhaili and organiser Skip Beelie bin Tengah.
Acting Penghulu of Mukim Seria and Village Head of Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria Haji Saidin bin Haji Ibrahim also joined the event.
