The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) organised an orientation week for its 16th intake of 2022/2023 academic session at the Sports Village in Berakas on Saturday.

The 105 new students comprise 40 male and 65 female students.

The orientation week, conducted by the Student Affairs Section, runs from July 23-28.

Its objective is to introduce students to life at KUPU SB, time management, and emphasise on the culture of acquiring knowledge.

It is also hoped that the programme will enhance students’ awareness on their responsibility in adhering to the KUPU SB’s regulations and as a medium for students to forge ties with members of the institution.

Student Affairs Dean Dr Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk spoke on students’ tasks and responsibilities along with hostel’s rules and dress code.

A talk by Brunei Darussalam Aids Council (BDAIDSCouncil) on HIV Awareness Programme for Peers and Youth (HAPPY) was also held.

The event proceeded with welfare briefings and a mass Asar prayer.
