Oricon chart: Seventeen claims top spot

SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Seventeen has claimed the No 1 position on Oricon’s weekly album chart with their latest compilation, “17 Is Right Here,” Pledis Entertainment announced on Tuesday.

This marks the 12th time the band has reached the top of the chart, solidifying their record as the international artist with the most No 1 albums on Oricon.

It’s also the eighth compilation album from Seventeen to achieve this feat, further cementing their status as a leading force in the global music scene.

The album sold over 2 million copies on the day of release and 2.96 million in the first week of sales.

The main track “Maestro” topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 32 regions. A performance video for the dance R&B tune was uploaded Monday showing the 13 members fully demonstrating their perfect choreography.

On May 18-19, Seventeen will hold a concert in Osaka and the following week in Kanagawa, wrapping up its encore tour “Follow Again.”
