The Labour Department carried out an operation in Kuala Belait on July 16.
The operation, targetting Jalan Maulana area, found one employer had failed to pay wages and overtime.
The employer will face a fine of up to BND1,000. The failure to settle the fine will result in the case being brought to court. The agency reminded the public to adhere to labour and welfare regulations, including providing employment contracts and paying wages on time. – Fadley Faisal
