An individual was found dead after being trapped in an early morning house fire in Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’ on Sunday, according to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD).
The deceased was found by Royal Brunei Police Force forensic personnel and handed over to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital for further action.
According to the FRD, a fire broke out in the village early yesterday morning. Firefighters from the Sungai Kebun Fire Station, the Pelancaran Fire Station and the Bandar Seri Begawan Fire Station were dispatched, and the fire was put under control in 20 minutes.
Fourteen residents managed to evacuate safely, however one individual was reportedly trapped, according to the department. – James Kon
