Brunei Darussalam reported one Category 5 case and seven cases in Category 4 yesterday, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Category 5 cases require treatment in the intensive care unit while Category 4 cases require respiratory assistance and are placed under close monitoring.
Meanwhile, 74.4 per cent of the country’s population have received the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 5.8 per cent received the fourth dose.
The MoH reported that 78.8 per cent of children aged five to 11 have received a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 52.3 per cent aged 12 to 17 received a third dose.
