SM SMJA principal Hajah Norhashimah binti Haji Burut said in her welcoming remarks, “SM SMJA, as the oldest education institution in the country, welcomes the new intake of students. Insya Allah, the close cooperation between teachers and parents will bring blessings and excellence.”

She added, “The school has implemented several strategies to ensure students will be more innovative and adaptable, have more effective communication skills and be capable of collaboration and critical thinking.”

Hajah Norhashimah also said, “Communications between school and parents are not limited to WhatsApp or Telegram. SM SMJA will also use Microsoft Teams as a school-home link to further communicate with parents on the development of their children in school as well as allow direct inquiries to teachers.”

As one of the schools under the Ministry of Education‘s Digital Classroom project, she said, “The use of technology and Internet among children in secondary school is more frequent compared to during primary school.”
