The 13th season of Brunei OFW Basketbolista (BOB) tipped off on Tuesday at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) Basketball Court in Batu Bersurat with 12 teams competing.
Founded by Jefferson Garduque, Chester Almario, Rommel Romero and Rey Sta Teresa, BOB league envisions a competitive showdown of skill, while promoting a healthy lifestyle among overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in the Sultanate.
During the opening ceremony, BOB paraded in its new 2024 jersey edition designed by one of its founders in a tie-up with REVR Creations.
The competing teams are mostly of registered OFW in Brunei and one guest team from the Brunei-Chinese community, headed by Malcolm Lau of Linktech. – James Kon
