The ‘Nur Ramadhan 1.0: Mardhatillah Youth’ programme concluded on Sunday following a closing ceremony at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Mosque in Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’.
The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) through the Nadi al-Qawi al-Amin under the coordination of the Faculty of Social Science Education in collaboration with youth of YSHHB Mosque organised the programme. Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, the guest of honour, handed over contributions and certificates to the participants. Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim and KUPU SB Ra’es Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani were also in attendance.
Some 30 underprivileged families residing in Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’ and ‘B’ received contributions; while 43 participants comprising youth aged 15 to 21 received certificates.
Meanwhile, Mohd Mizam bin Hailulizam and Zuhrina Zafeerah binti Haji Zaini received the Mardhatillah Youth Award.
Among the activities of the programme were the distribution of 250 bubur kacang to 50 families in Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’ and ‘B’, Qiamullail Fardhi, a mass Subuh prayer and tazkirah by Dr Haji Noralizam and a motivational talk by Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak. – Rokiah Mahmud
