The number of cases in the third COVID-19 wave in the Sultanate is likely to exceed the number of cases in the second wave, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar yesterday.
However, the minister said, the number of cases in Categories 4 and 5 are expected to remain low in the current wave.
“We should continue to be prepared for the increase in Omicron cases. COVID-19 will be with us, and we have to live with it, together.
“Additional measures such as stringent restrictions will not have a significant impact on the number of cases,” the minister said.
