Tropical Storm Noru will indirectly affect the Sultanate’s weather and cause windy and active weather conditions in the next few days, especially tonight until Wednesday.
According to the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD), Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, the Sultanate is currently towards the end of the Southwest Monsoon period, where southwesterly wind surge is still dominant with stable atmospheric condition.
As of 5am yesterday, Tropical Storm Noru was observed at coordinates 16.5°N 128.4°E, at the east of the Philippines Sea, some 2,000 kilometres away from Brunei, and is forecast to move westwards of the South China Sea and expected to be upgraded to a typhoon in the next few days.
