A man accused of brandishing a sickle at a barracks in Kuala Belait is claiming trial, saying there is no evidence leading to the charges against him.

Mohamad Bojie bin Haji Mos, 40, has denied the charge of possessing an offensive weapon in public, as well as two additional charges prosecutor Nur Zahidah Farhanah binti Abdul Aziz levelled against him in court yesterday. Mohamad Bojie is alleged to have brandished a sickle at Jalan Dermawangsa at 9pm on November 13.

He was also charged with mischief for damaging two cars with the sickle, as well as allegedly holding a karambit knife and a sickle at a residential place at STKRJ Kampong Mumong on December 26, 2021.

Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid ordered the defendant further remanded and adjourned the case to December 3 for trial dates to be fixed.
