Nine students are participating in the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) programme until December 19 with participants from other ASEAN member countries and Timor-Leste.
Dayangku Aida Qistina binti Pengiran Junaidi, Amni Syazana Basirah binti Saiful Rijal and Alya Zahra binti Aliman from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College (MSPSBS), Ahmad Danish bin Haji Amirhalim, Lau Jia Wen and Awangku Md Yazid bin Pengiran Haji Md Jafarouddin from Belait Sixth Form Centre (PTEB) and Arriana Chariz Gamido Phua, Alya Irdina binti Rasman and Alya Batrisyia binti Abdul Rahman from Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (MDPMAMB) are representing the Brunei delegation.
Education officer at MSPSBS Zati Izni Fazreena binti Haji Mohd Hussin is accompanying the delegation as the chaperone.
Through the programme, the students will have the opportunity to participate in inbound activities including attending the 16th Asian International Children’s Film Festival.
The programme’s main objective is to enhance ties between Japan and other participating Asian countries and regions by presenting and exchanging freely conceived short films and promoting cross-cultural and mutual understanding.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Department of Schools and the Department of Private Education is coordinating the delegation’s participation.
