NiAT organises Inmarsat Day 2022

Network Integrity Assurance Technologies Sdn Bhd (NiAT), a local satellite communication service provider in Brunei Darussalam and Inmarsat, the industry leader and pioneer of satellite communications, co-hosted the Inmarsat Day 2022 seminar at the Radisson Hotel in the capital recently.

Permanent Secretary (Development, Maintenance and Technology) at the Ministry of Defence Colonel (Rtd) Haji Mohammad Norfahssin bin Haji Abdul Karim as well as senior officials from government agencies and other authorities in the land, marine and aviation sectors also attended.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lim Ming Soon opened the ceremony by reflecting on the partnership between NiAT and Inmarsat, noting, “Inmarsat has been our partner for almost a decade. Together we have accomplished countless successes with the aim of making satellite communications more easily available, reliable and affordable.”

“Since its inception, the defense sector has been one of NiAT’s major users of Inmarsat’s portable VSAT communications and satellite phones, closely followed by the oil and gas industry, government agencies, and now, the aviation industry. Today, Inmarsat will share its recent advancement and forthcoming technologies that will assist your operations to thrive – be it on land, remote locations, at sea and in the air.”

The event’s featured speakers were Account Manager APAC Global Government from Inmarsat Singapore Zane Xiao, Business Development Manager Maritime Global Government Thibault Ferrier and Director APAC Sales of the Aviation Business Unit Tarik Hemmal.

The seminar serves as a platform for the exchange of information between participants, providing them with access to a new database of Inmarsat products that will enhance their operations.
