The Teng Yun Temple (To’Kong China Brunei Darussalam) on Sunday night donated a total of BND52,800 to eight NGOs and nine private schools, including BND4,000 for Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA).
Guest of honour Permanent Secretary (Community) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari handed the donations over to Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak who is also the Acting Chief Executive officer of DANA.
Chinese Temple Executive Committee Chairman Lee Eng Ching witnessed the handover along with executive committee members.
