Newly-elected KB village head prepares for new role

The newly-elected Pekan Kuala Belait ‘B’ Village Head Mohammad Sufrizal bin Haji Hamdan said his experience in holding the position of Acting Village Head of Pekan Kuala Belait has given him insights into the needs of the village and to represent the village in its best interest as a mediator between the government and the community.

Mohammad Sufrizal, the sole candidate for the election, has been actively leading and organising health-related sporting activities such as running and cycling events across the district, to ensure a healthy lifestyle for the residents.

“I hope that I can live up to the expectations set by the residents and by being a role model that brings unity, harmony, prosperity, safety and welfare to the village,” said the 44-year old.

The residents of Pekan Kuala Belait ‘B’ ended voting at the Municipal Hall, Kuala Belait yesterday.

Mohammad Sufrizal expressed his gratitude to the supporters and voters from the village who cast their ballots.
