The fifth-generation KIA Sportage will make its debut on Brunei’s roads tomorrow.
The new KIA Sportage’s cutting edge interior now has an integrated curved, continuous display spanning from the centre of console to the driver side.
Another comfort is the longer wheelbase from its predecessor, offering class leading headroom, legroom and luggage space ahead of its competitors.
Local media was given an opportunity to test drive the new KIA Sportage around Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday.
Developed on a new built, the all new Sportage combines a driver centric design with a state-of-the-art interior featuring a swooping curved display that houses the latest advancement in connectivity tech.
The high tech 12-inch touchscreen and advanced integrated controller act as the nerve centre for driver and passenger connectivity, functionality and usability needs.
Both systems have been created to be easy to use, highly intuitive and soft to touch.
The 12-inch instrument cluster is equipped with the latest generation full thin transistor liquid crystal display for incredibly precise and clear graphics.
Meanwhile, the intelligent interior space which combines practicality and functionality as well as versatility is underpinned by a compace wheelbase of 2,755mm, a width of 1,865mm, length of 4,660mm and height of 1,660mm, which has created a classleading legroom, headroom for comfort and bigger luggage capacity.
The exterior establishes a new modern boundary of design.
From the front the all new Sportage showcases a precise and intricate look with its detailed oriented black grille graphic stretching across the width of the car.
Most noticeable is KIA’s modern signature Tiger Nose Grille to the distinctive futuristic styled boomerang shaped LED DRLs (daytime running lights) that creates a solid boundary line for striking Matric LED head lamps.
The new KIA Sportage is powered by a high tech 2.0-litre Smartstream powertrain that generates 156PS and 192Nm of torque. The 2.0 litre engine is mated to a six speed automatic transmission in 2WD.
