A car manufacturer’s lineup is incomplete without a flagship model, and Proton is no exception as it introduces its full-sized sports utility vehicle (SUV), the X90.
Proton Brunei, in collaboration with Pad and Econ Motors Sdn Bhd, presented the impressive SUV on Friday night, following the success of its earlier compact SUVs, the X50 and X70.
Proton Brunei stands as one of the first in the Proton export market to officially launch the X90 following its debut in Malaysia.
The event was attended by High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Dato’ Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, who officiating the event alongside Pad and Econ Motors Chairman Tan Kah Boon.
Pad and Econ Motors Sdn Bhd Managing Director Hambali bin Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh expressed his enthusiasm for the Proton X90 stating, “This Proton X90 will exceed your expectations. Packed with innovation and advanced technologies, coupled with its dynamic design, we are confident that the new X90 has elevated Proton, outpacing its closest competitors not only locally but also internationally.”
The X90 not only adds a third model to Proton’s range of leading SUVs but also marks the company’s debut into the new energy vehicle sector.
Powered by the award-winning 1.5-litre TGDI engine and a 48V electric motor synergy system, the vehicle promises reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions, improved performance, and a smoother driving experience. – Fadley Faisal
