New stamps commemorate Brunei-Singapore ties

The Postal Services Department under the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) issued new commemorative stamps to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore.

The special edition features two stamp designs, the Ficus Elastica and the Dendrobium Hassanal Saleha, each with a denomination of BND2. The department will also release first day covers priced at BND0.45 to complete the collection. Additional philatelic products include an uncut full stamp sheet with 24 stamps, a set of five stamps, official first day covers – with and without stamps – and a limited-edition presentation pack stamps combining sets from both countries, available at the General Post Office in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The stamps will be available for purchase at post offices nationwide from today between 8am and 3pm. – James Kon & Lyna Mohamad
