The Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) launched a book on leadership, titled Kepimpinan: Budi Pekerti, Tuturan Hati, yesterday.
Permanent Secretary (Culture) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, the guest of honour, launched the book at the MCYS’ Digadong Hall.
The permanent secretary also witnessed the signing of a licence agreement to publish the book between DBP and author Tengku Sri Indra bin Tengku Ismail.
The event saw a discussion session by Tengku Sri Indra, who said the book is based of his experience as a certified consultant.
Acting Director of DBP Hajah Haireni binti Haji Awang Damit said the bureau is committed to empowering initiatives to promote knowledge and skills of the community through workshops, courses, seminars, contests, books, magazines and journals.
Hajah Haireni added that Kepimpinan: Budi Pekerti, Tuturan Hati not only provides guidance on leadership but also stresses on character and courtesy – which are a reflection of the Malay civilisation.
She hoped that the book will inspire leaders of the Sultanate to carry out their responsibilities with noble values. – James Kon
