The BruHealth application has unveiled a new feature called ‘BN on the Move 2023’ aimed at fostering physical activity and well-being among the population.
As part of the programme, the initiative serves to encourage individuals to adopt a more active lifestyle by motivating them to walk more and boost their daily step count.
The BN on the Move 2023 feature expands upon the success of last year’s campaign, continuing its mission to promote physical activity across the nation.
This year, participants not only can track their steps but also log other forms of physical activities, including sports and aerobic exercises. The programme introduces a range of challenges that individuals or teams can engage in, offering both digital and physical incentives upon reaching specific fitness targets.
With the innovative approach, individuals are inspired to make exercise a regular part of their routine while experiencing the camaraderie of group participation. With this approach, the Ministry of Health has announced the launch of the ‘80 Billion Steps Together Campaign’.
The ambitious nationwide challenge aims to collectively accumulate 80 billion steps over the course of four months, culminating in December 2023.
Starting from August 20, participants can register for the campaign through the BruHealth application, which has begun accepting early bird registrations since August 8.
Citizens are encouraged to update their BruHealth app to Version 4.0 to access the new features and functionalities.
The event is set to commence at 6.30am, marking a significant step towards a more active and health-conscious Bruneian population.
