It is never to early to start learning about entrepreneurship, said speakers at a panel organised by Baiduri Bank and Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei (YEAB).
The panel, ‘Youth Paving the Way to Sustainable Growth’, held to mark the National Youth Day celeberation, shared insights from young entrepreneurs and financial experts from Baiduri Bank.
Head of Business Banking at Baiduri Bank Mohammed Isa Liew, founder of Grocer Local Enterprise Mudza’ffar Rafae’a, founder of Chef Q Wok and Grill restaurant Pengiran Md Abdul Qayum, founder of Fatin’s Flourette Dayangku Fatin Afiqah and founder of Adreana Shawls Adriana Farhana were the panellists.
They encouraged individuals to engage in business activities at a younger age, enhance marketing and sales skills as well as to learn from failures.
They also encourage youth to make use of social media platforms to attract customers.
The panel said there is no age limit on when to start a business.
“In other countries, a child as young as eight steps forward to join business pitching,” said the panellists.
Other topics that were discussed included ‘Taking the First Step’, ‘ Turning Challenges into Opportunities’ and ‘The Way Forward: Vision as the Driver of Growth’. – Azlan Othman
