Nelayan FT was able to score their first win of the league against the Liang Lumut Belait FT at the first match of the Belait District Football League 2022 on Sunday night at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club.
Md Iqmal Halim from Nelayan FT scored an early goal for his team at the 16th minute.
Liang Lumut Belait FT repaid the favour, scoring after Haji Annuar slipped past the goalkeeper at the 32nd minute. Nairul Eswandy put one in for Nelayan FT just before the end of the first half, and the match ended a resounding 2-1.
The Belait District Football League 2022 is underway, with eight teams competing over the course of the next few weeks.
