Suzuki Brunei raised BND5,800 for the Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) through a charity initiative held recently.

The donation was presented to YASKA Vice Chair Tsara’ Nawwarah Abdullah Chen by Hendry Ang of LUB Enterprise, Suzuki Brunei Service Manager Gen Seneres and Suzuki Brunei Assistant Manager Wang Kai Chun yesterday.

The funds were partly raised through the National Generosity initiative which donated BND39 from every vehicle sold between February 6 to February 28. According to Suzuki Brunei, 115 units were sold and BND4,485 was raised for the funds.

Another BND315 was raised through collecting BND3.9 customers who had their cars serviced between February 10 to March 15 and donations from Suzuki staff.

LUB Enterprise also contributed BND1,000 to the donation.

The campaign was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, with the funds going to help YASKA’s outreach activities and advocacy for childhood cancer patients and their families.

Meanwhile, at another event yesterday, Abdul Ajihis Haji Terawih won the BND1,000 first prize from a design competition organised by Suzuki Brunei to commemorate the 39th National Day.

He was presented with his prize yesterday by Pengiran Nurul Hisham @ Pengiran Farouk bin Pengiran Yahya from the Swift Club Brunei.
