Some 1,997 students of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) School, comprising YSHHB kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, attended the Maulidur Rasul celebration for 1446 Hijrah yesterday.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of YSHHB Chong Li Chen attended the event. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a mass recitation of selawat.
The religious event also included a briefing on Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as well as a procession.
The event aimed to introduce students to an important Islamic celebration and instil love towards Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). – Rokiah Mahmud
