The forest reserves and recreational parks in Brunei symbolise the balance achieved between human activities and the natural environment. These sanctuaries provide not only adventures but also opportunities to discover peace, solace and inspiration.
Director of Forestry Department Noralinda binti Haji Ibrahim said this during Timor-Leste President Dr José Ramos-Horta and delegation’s visit to Bukit Patoi Forest Recreational Park in Temburong District yesterday morning.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman as the Minister-in Attendance and Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin welcomed the presidential entourage.
The visitors participated in recreational activities while enjoying the green scenery featuring a myriad of flora and fauna.
The president signed a visitor’s book and also joined a group photo session.
The park, located 15 kilometres away from Pekan Bangar, is within the Peradayan Forest Reserve and popular among the public for hiking and climbing activities. – Rokiah Mahmud
