The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) organised a Sunnat Hajat prayers for students under the Yayasan’s Education Intervention Programme (PIP) across the nation yesterday.
For Belait and Tutong districts, the ceremony at the RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque, was attended by Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, who is also a member of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
Some 212 students attended the ceremony which also saw the presentation of certificates to three schools that acted as centres for the tuition class – Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar Secondary School, Anthony Abell College, and Tutong Sixth Form Centre.
The deputy minister also handed books on behalf of Yayasan to the mosque received by mosque affairs officer Abdul Qayyum bin Haji Aminuddin.
The religious ceremony was also held in the Brunei-Muara District, at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque. – Daniel Lim
