The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) continued the nightly Dikir Maulud to mark Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) birth anniversary at the Ar-Rahim Mosque in Kampong Bukit Panggal yesterday.
Deputy Minister (Energy) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw who participated in the event, presented Waqaf to the mosque’s imam.
The ceremony was co-organised by the Office for Wawasan Brunei and Manpower Planning and Employment Council Secretariat with cooperation from Radio Television Brunei.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) held Dikir Syarafil Anam to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque in Kampong Tungku/Katok.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was the guest of honour.
Also in attendance were Acting Permanent Secretary (Fiscal 1) at the MoFE Haji Asrul Adrain bin Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Ahmad; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Trade and Industry) at the MoFE Mohammad Harris bin Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim; heads of departments and divisions, officers and staff at the ministry.
MoFE will continue the Dikir Syarafil Anam at Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque today. – Azlan Othman
