Some 102 Year 7 students from Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar Secondary School in Kuala Belait attended a nationhood briefing programme titled ‘Our Monarch, Appreciating the Flag and National Anthem’ on Thursday.
The briefing was delivered by Information Officer Muhd Khairulhadi bin Haji Muhd Muhtaddir, as the Head of Belait District Information Branch and Zurairah binti Haji Lisa.
The educational briefing touched on the monarch and the proper procedure of hoisting the national flag as well as the history of the national anthem ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’.
The students also watched an animated video on the procedure of hoisting a national flag and participated in a national quiz to further increase their knowledge on the briefing. The programme is one of the ongoing efforts of the Information Department in sowing love for the monarch, religion, race and country.
It also aimed to strengthen a high spirit of solidarity, patriotism and nationalism in students.
