The national junior tennis team recently left the Sultanate to participate in the Billie Jean King Cup Juniors in Kuching, Malaysia from tomorrow to March 8.
The junior tennis team will compete against players from 15 different countries across the Asia-Oceania region.
The team comprising three players, Areesha Zain, Danielle Lim and Megan Lee, is led by Coach Aiman Abdullah. The trio have trained consistently over the past year and have prepared intensively for the event since the beginning of 2024, including participation in a tournament in Thailand. With high hopes and confidence, the team is looking forward to a strong performance at this year’s Billie Jean King Cup Juniors. – Fadhil Yunus
