Brunei Darussalam National Judo Federation (BDNJF) Vice President (Administration) Chong Chee Kiong was awarded third dan while Vice President (Technical) Muhd Ali-Rashid bin Haji Mohd Alipah received second dan during BDNJF’s third annual general meeting (AGM) recently at the Lecture Theatre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

BDNJF President Haji Abdul Malik bin Haji Mohamad presented the certificates to the recipients in recognition of their contributions to coaching and promoting judo in the Sultanate.

“Since we are already in the endemic phase, we should be going forward by planing our activities from now until a period of two to five years and so,” Haji Abdul Malik said.

He also called the members to provide ideas to develop the federation, noting that it was their first in-person meeting this year.

The meeting also heard a report delivered by Secretary General Shenna Wong and also introduced Assistant Secretary General Mohd Noh bin Dato Paduka Haji Matassan.

The federation highlighted past activities including an online kodomo-no kata seminar participated by selected members on October 28, 2021 and the online Kodokan (coaching) International Judo Seminar 2021.

It also planned a list of activities including organising in-house tournaments, interclub tournaments, in-house first aid courses, assistant coaching training, kyu grading exam, and competition training in the coming weeks.

Other highlights of the meeting included a report presentation by Treasurer Pengiran Muhd Fauzisalihin bin Pengiran Salleh and club summary reports by the Head of Judo SSBN and Head of Sungai Kebun Judo Club.
