President of the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) Pengiran Haji Matusin bin Pengiran Haji Matasan has been suspended from his duties by the FABD Executive Committee, according to a press statement from the organisation yesterday.

“The congress is responsible for suspending a member. The executive committee may, however, suspend a member that seriously violates their obligations with immediate effect.

“The suspension approved by the executive committee shall last until the next congress, unless the executive committee has lifted the suspension in the meantime…,” said the statement.

The FABD also announced in the statement that its election and congress, which were scheduled to be held on November 18, have been postponed until further notice.
