The National Al-Quran Reading Competition for Adults will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas for three consecutive nights from August 30 to September 1.
Finalists in the male category are Mohammad Zul-Hafiz bin Tengah, Muhammad bin Ali, Haji Nasrul Fakhri bin Haji Yahya, Haji Awang Muhammad Fikri bin Haji Awang Metussin, Haji Hazwan bin Haji Salim and Ahmad Syuja’ie bin Begawan Mudim Haji Metassim.
Meanwhile, the finalists in the female category are Hajah Nurfaezah binti Haji Emran, Dayangku Fauziah Nadhirah binti Pengiran Haji Jofri, Hajah Nurul Akmalina binti Haji Awang Yahya, Siti Zahrina binti Abdul Wahab, Hajah Norhafidzah binti Haji Hassan, and Dr Hajah Siti Wardah binti Major (Rtd) Haji Abdul Rahman.
Highlights of the competition will be Al-Quran reading from international Al-Hafiz and Al-Hafizah with different abilities, and an Al-Quran reading from the winners.
Attendees are reminded to do an antigen rapid test and upload the results to the BruHealth app as well as adhere to health guidelines.
The theme for this year’s competition is ‘Bertemankan Al-Quran Sepanjang Zaman’.
