Muslims urged to supplicate for betterment

“Allah the Almighty like those who ask for Him. Al-Quran also shows and teaches us the best way to supplicate and what is needed for the betterment, not only in wealth but other matters in the worldly affairs and the days of the Hereafter.”

This was highlighted by a speaker from Al-Furqan Holdings (B) Sdn Bhd and an accredited Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) preacher Salahuddin bin Haji Aminuddin during a Munajat night on Saturday at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Kampong Madang.

Acting Belait District Officer Mohamad Yassin bin Haji Ahmed, attended and led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah from Pekan Seria Mosque.

Participating the Munajat night were Ummah from 101 mosques, suraus and religious halls as well as officers at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Joining the congregation were mosque takmir committee from the Pekan Seria Mosque, congregrants from Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque and Ar-Rahman Mosque, Kampong Tanjong Bunut.

Teachers and students of an Al-Quran reading scheme for teenagers at the Islamic Studies Department, Youth Religious Programme members called Firqah Al-Husni at the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) also attended the Munajat night.

Surah Yaasiin, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam were recited at the gathering.

Munajat night invites worshippers to multiply their daily religious practice by reciting Al-Quran, supplicating, reciting Zikir, Istightar to seek forgiveness, protection and blessings from Allah the Almighty as well as to supplicate for others to be spared from calamity and dangerous diseases and curb COVID-19.
