“Sincerity is a commendable attitude highly demanded in Islam. An insincere attitude is not accepted by Allah the Almighty. Those performing pious acts and carry out religious obligations with a sincere heart to gain blessings from Allah the Almighty without showing off will gain happiness in the worldly affairs and in the hereafter,” highlighted Religious Development Officer at Islamic Da’wah Centre Haji Muhammad Nazir bin Haji Othman.
He made these remarked during a talk at the Munajat night at Kampong Sibut Religious Hall in the Temburong District on Saturday.
He said, “A person who carries out an act with sincerity will receive assistance from Allah the Almighty when facing difficulties, receives multiple rewards and becomes a measure for every practice to be accepted.”
The 76th Munajat night was organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
Patron of Al-Ameerah Al Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz was in attendance.
Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque takmir committee members, Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Mentiri, students and teaching staff of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School (SASHHB), New Muslim Converts Association (PESAT) in Temburong District and congregants of Kampong Sibut Religious Hall were also present. Also taking part were congregants from 100 mosques, suraus and religious halls as well as the MoRA workforce.
Year 9 student of SASHHB Abdul Matin bin Zulnorein led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Yaasiin.
The event also saw the recitation of Doa Munajat, Asmaa Ul-Husna and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
