The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) continued its series of Tedarus activities with Tutong District New Muslim Converts Association (PESATU) members, as well as other converts in the district at the PESATU multi-purpose hall in Kampong Tanjong Panjang, Mukim Tanjung Maya on Saturday.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Tedarus, led by PDI Assistant Director Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, who also presented PDI publications for congregant use in the hall.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of donations to orphans and contributions to underprivileged converts, followed by the breaking of the fast, mass Maghrib and Isyak prayers, and concluded with mass Sunnat Tarawih and Sunnat Witir prayers. Religious Development Officer Pengiran Haji Jufri bin Pengiran Haji Hidup, Religious Education Officer Datin Dr Hajah Rohanita binti Haji Yaakub and PESATU Vice President Haji Md Khairul Alaika bin Haji Abdul Aziz were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
