Munajat night touches on sense of ownership

The story of the life of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) teaches ummah the meaning of erasing the sense of ownership towards Allah the Almighty’s gift in the form of family.

This was highlighted in a religious talk titled ‘Lesson learned from life of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh)’ by accredited religious preacher Dr Muhammad Yadiy bin Haji Mat Yassin, who is also a part-time lecturer from Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) at the 91st weekly Munajat night held by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) on Saturday night.

“ It is a sacrifice that is rarely discussed and questioned, namely feelings and a sense of ownership. Everything we have and we ourselves belong to Allah the Almighty,” he added.

Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah from Kampong Keriam mosque, Tutong District.

Ma’had Islam Brunei teachers and students, mosque takmir committee of Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis Madang, Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kampong Tanjong Bunut, Kampong Keriam Mosque, Tutong, as well as members of Soutussolehen of Youth Religious Programme at Islamic Da’wah Centre were also present.

Worshippers from 91 mosques, suraus and religious halls as well as MoRA workforce and their families also participated.
