The Munajat night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) entered its 44th week last Friday, co-hosted with the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The event saw the participation of officers, staff from both ministries as well as congregants from mosques, surau and prayer halls’ nationwide.
It was held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam 76th birthday celebration.
A Doa Kesyukuran was recited by Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan from Kampong Sungai Hanching Mosque.
The weekly religious ceremony was also joined by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, led by Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin from Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kampong Tanjong Bunut.
It then proceeded with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, led by Permanent Secretary Office of the MoRA Head of Counselling and Religious Understandings Unit (KAFA) Haji Saharuddin bin Haji Petra, followed by Doa Munajat by State Mufti’s Office Istinbat Officer Hairulazmi bin Abdullah.
A talk on ‘Taat Ulil Amri’ was delivered by from Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), Faculty of Education Assistant Lecturer Haji Mohammad Khairul Azhar bin Idris, from Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Jalan Bebatik Kilanas.
Zikir Taubat was recited by Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Religious Teacher Haji Mohd Emmarul bin Haji Azamain, from Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kampong Tanjung Bunut.
