The 58th Munajat night received overwhelming response from the public, officers and staff at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and congregants from 88 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide on Saturday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan were among the attendees.
The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, led by patron of Kampong Belimbing Subok Mosque Takmir Committee Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Roselan bin Haji Mohd Daud. It proceeded with the mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin, led by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Bachelor of Science student Awangku Muhammad Abdul Majeed Ariffin bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Abdul Aziz from the university’s mosque, followed by Doa Munajat, read by Buhuth Officer at the State Mufti’s Office Pengiran Muhammad Wafiuddin bin Pengiran Haji Zulkarnain.
The event also saw a religious talk on ‘A Generous Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)’ by an i-Ready Religious Officer at Islamic Da’wah Centre Muhamad Waqiyuddin Fakhri bin Haji Damit and the recitation of Asmaa Ul-Husna led by Religious Bureau (Youth) at the Youth Transformation Community Club of the Youth Centre.
Meanwhile, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Mosque Affairs Officer Pengiran Mohd Akbar bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Sabri from Kampong Belimbing Subok Mosque.
