The 57th Munajat night received overwhelming response from the public, officers and staff at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and congregants from 90 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide on Saturday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan were among the attendees.
The Consulate General of Brunei Darussalam in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia also took part.
The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by STKRJ Kampong Lambak Kiri Mosque Takmir Committee Adviser Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdullah bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin led by Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s Year 4 student at the Faculty of Science Ahmad Termizie bin Ahmad Baihakie from Setia Ali Mosque in Pekan Muara.
Doa Munajat was read by Head of Religious Officer at the Belait District Mohamad Aliyani bin Ismail from Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque.
The event also saw a religious talk on ‘Living the Prophet’ by Communication (Haj) Attache at Brunei Consulate General in Jeddah Muhammad Naqib bin Haji Awang.
It continued with a Taubat Zikir by Jefri Bolkiah Mosque Youth Head Mohamad Waseem bin Mohamad Rizal in Kampong Batong.
Meanwhile, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Mosque Affairs Officer Pengiran Haji Mohd Salleh bin Pengiran Haji Zakaria from STKRJ Kampong Lambak Kiri Mosque.
