The Munajat night entered its 43rd session on Saturday which saw the participation of officials from the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC)and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
Joining the Munajat night, held in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha were Bruneian Haj pilgrims under the Straits Central Agencies (B) Sdn Bhd and Al-Hijrah Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd virtually from Mina, Makkah as well as congregants from mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman; Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan also attended.
The Munajat night commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Permanent Secretary of MTIC Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof from the Brunei International Airport (BIA) Surau. It was then followed by the mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin led by Assistant Head of Fatwa Secretariat, State Mufti’s Office Haji Hazimin bin Haji Ibrahim from Kampong Serdang Mosque.
The ceremony was enlivened with Takbir Hari Raya led by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunication) at the MTIC Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Transport) at the MTIC Haji Mohd Salihin bin Haji Aspar from BIA Surau.
The Takbir was also echoed by the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque takmir committee led by Mohammad Waiz bin Tajuddin; and Mohamed Jamalul Alam Mosque Youth Group in Kuala Belait, led by Mohammad Hilmi bin Yakop.
The ceremony continued with Doa Munajat led by Religious Education Officer of the Islamic Studies Department Mohammad Zamery bin Haji Nayan and concluded with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Kampong Bunut Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Shari bin Awang Murat.
