Munajat night continues with strong support

The weekly Munajat night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs continued on Saturday.

The religious activity, held virtually, continued to receive strong support from ministries and committees as well as associations, with the latest edition seeing the cooperation of mosque takmir committee members and congregants from 92 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.

Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan also participated.

The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Al-Fatihah led by the joint patron of Kampong Tanah Jambu Mosque Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud.

The reading of Surah Yaasiin was led by Imam of Kampong Pelambayan Mosque Haji Mohd Ali Taufiq bin Haji Abdul Rahman. Doa Munajat was read by Acting Assistant Director of Islamic Studies Department (JPI) Pengiran Abdul Razak bin Pengiran Haji Metahir from the surau of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School.

There was also a religious talk on ‘Ushering Rabiulawal’ by Ahmad Muzaffar bin Haji Marsidi, along with mosque takmir committee members of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.

Selawat Ibrahimiyyah was led by the mosque’s youth and mosque takmir committee members from RPN Kampong Mata-Mata Mosque.

The Munajat ended with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Mosque Affairs Officer Muhammad Saifullah bin Haji Rosli.
