In efforts to seek protection, blessings and guidance from Allah the Almighty, the weekly Munajat night conducted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) entered its 41st week as it was held virtually on Saturday.
Joining the weekly Munajat night was Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.
The event was also participated by personnel from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and their family members. Also joining were congregants from mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.
The Munajat night commenced with recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad.
It was followed with mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin led by Religious Officer from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Pengiran Mohammad Daud bin Pengiran Matassan from Surau Asy-Syafi.
To seek blessings from Allah the Almighty and to protect the country from disasters and diseases, Doa Munajat was read by Mosque Affairs Officer of Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahuddin from Kampong Lambak Mosque, Berakas.
A Tazkirah entitled ‘Tarbiyah Di Sebalik Ibadah Haji’ was delivered by Faculty of Syariah Assistant Lecturer at the Religious Teacher University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Haji Mohd Syahiran bin Haji Md Sofian from Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, Kampong Jangsak.
Asmaa Ul-Husna and Selawat were recited by Head of Spiritual Unit of Co-curriculum Education Department under the MoE Muhammad Zainuddin Shah bin Talip from Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque.
Concluding the Munajat night, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Mosque Affairs Officer Mohd Zakaria bin Haji Mohd Salleh.
