The Munajat night, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA)continued on Saturday night, participated by staff and officers of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and their families.
Some 87 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide also joined the event virtually.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud also attended, along with Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar and Deputy Minister of the Department of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw.
The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, led by Permanent Secretary (Civil Service, Welfare, International and Media) at the PMO Mohamed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohamed Yunos.
This was followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Permanent Secretary (Security, Enforcement and Law) at the PMO Dato Paduka Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, and Surah Yaasiin by Acting Director of Mosque Affairs at the MoRA Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri from Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in RPN Kampong Mentiri.
Doa Munajat to seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty was read by Senior Istinbat Officer at the State Mufti’s Office Haji Muhammad Ahmad Roza bin Haji Md Daud.
The event also saw a religious talk ‘Stay on Line’, by lecturer from Faculty of Islamic Development Management of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Dr Mohammad Hilmy Baihaqy bin Haji Awang Yussof from International Airport Surau.
Asmaa Ul-Husna and Selawat were led by Acting Director of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Dr Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad from Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
It ended with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Mosque Affairs Officer from Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Serusop Haji Sysmsul Nizam bin Haji Badar.
