Munajat highlights wealth from Islamic perspective

The right perspective on wealth will ensure that a person achieves happiness in this world and in the hereafter, said the religious speaker for the Saturday night Munajat.

Director of Core Knowledge Centre at Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar in his religious talk, ‘Developing Rabbani Economy’, shared that managing and spending wealth is one of Allah the Almighty’s trusts.

“It is a necessity that aims to develop life.

“Islam emphasises that mankind should strive hard to develop and build a happy and harmonious life,” he said.

The Munajat was held at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque at Kampong Tungku Katok. 
The weekly religious event, held for the 141st time, was organised jointly by the Ministry of Finance and Economy and Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Present were Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.

Also present were officers and staff at both ministries, mosque committee members and congregants of Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque as well as congregants from nearly 65 mosques, suraus and religious halls. – Azlan Othman
