Head of Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC) of Jerudong Park Medical Centre Dr Haji Mohamad Zulkhairi bin Haji Mohamad highlighted this year’s World Cancer Day theme, ‘United by Unique’, which promotes inclusivity, personalised care and holistic patient well-being, in a Tazkirah Ilmiah titled ‘Hari Kanser Sedunia’ during the 172nd Munajat night on Saturday.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque in Kampong Tungku Katok, began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Dr Haji Mohamad Zulkhairi. The event continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Mulk, led by Muhamad Faiz Najwan bin Muhamad Saleh, followed by Doa Munajat, recited by religious teacher at the Renal Services Department Haji Mohammad Azmi bin Haji Tapau.
The congregation also collectively recited Selawat Tafrijiyyah, led by student Muhammad Ishgal Ezairy @ Abdul Mateen bin Mohammad Shahruni.
The gathering concluded with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, recited by Mosque Affairs officer Mohd Saifullah bin Rosli.
It was attended by officials and staff from TBCC and the Renal Services Department at the Ministry of Health, as well as students from Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, mosque takmir committee members, and individuals joining virtually from their homes.
